Content ownership, DMCA process, and your obligations.
Content Ownership
You retain rights to the content you submit to TrainRun. By submitting content, you grant TrainRun the limited rights necessary to process that content and generate learning materials. TrainRun does not claim ownership of your submitted content or of the original source material.
Your Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you submit to TrainRun. This includes YouTube videos, transcripts, and any other text you upload. TrainRun transforms content into study materials for your personal educational use - this does not transfer or grant any rights to the underlying source material.
AI-Generated Materials
Quizzes, summaries, and other learning materials generated by TrainRun are derived from your submitted content. Ownership of AI-generated works is an evolving area of law. TrainRun does not claim exclusive ownership of AI-generated outputs. You may use generated materials for your personal learning.
DMCA Takedown Process
If you believe content on TrainRun infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice to admin@trainrun.io. Your notice must include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed, (2) identification of the material you claim is infringing with enough detail for us to locate it, (3) your name, address, and email, (4) a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law, (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to admin@trainrun.io with: (1) identification of the material that was removed, (2) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake, (3) your name, address, and consent to jurisdiction. We will process counter-notifications in accordance with the DMCA.
Repeat Infringers
TrainRun will terminate the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers, in accordance with the DMCA and our Terms of Service.
